I came to volleyball later in life but fell completely in love with the sport. Now it’s one of the things I’m most passionate about. From being introduced in college playing grass with my friends to coaching a Varsity team in the state playoffs, volleyball is one of the things that bring a lot of joy to my life.
I graduated from UGA in 2022 and began teaching at Winder-Barrow High School. With my background in coaching basketball, my Athletic Director reached out to me—but surprisingly, not for basketball. We desperately needed a Freshman Team head coach, and he thought I would be a "good fit." With little volleyball coaching experience and a whole lot of confidence, I accepted the position. I began spending longs hours improving my volleyball IQ. I watched a lot of volleyball, went to coaching clinics, and even attended some skills clinics to learn. After a successful season with my freshmen, I was offered the Varsity Coach position in 2023. I spent 2 years leading the WBHS Volleyball Program before moving home to Cumming in July 2025.
I started working at Otwell Middle School as an 8th Grade Physical Science Teacher in August 2025 and began working as the FCHS Feeder Volleyball Director. Besides volleyball, I have an amazing support system in my family. Missing my two wonderful parents and my 6 siblings is a large part of why I moved home with my significant other, Evan and dog Hercules.

I’ve been involved in volleyball for most of my life, both as a player and a coach. I played club volleyball with A5 for five years and competed at the varsity level at Roswell High School. I went on to play four years of college volleyball at UNC Pembroke.
After finishing my playing career, I spent two years as a Graduate Assistant at Eastern Kentucky University, where I gained hands-on experience coaching and supporting a collegiate program. I’ve also coached A5 Volleyball summer camps for the past four years, working with athletes of all ages and skill levels. Most recently, I completed my first season coaching Forsyth Central’s Black Feeder Team.
I love helping players build strong fundamentals, grow their confidence, and develop a passion for the game.

My coaching philosophy is about being a team player. Volleyball is not an individual sport; it is a team effort. Coaching athletes to work together as a team while building confidence in the player as an individual and as a team member are just a couple of reasons why I love coaching. Also helping the athletes to understand the value and skill that they bring to the team as they work together are some of the joys of coaching young athletes. Having fun while doing this is just icing on the cake.
My interest in volleyball started at a young age. I came into coaching when my daughter was in grade school, and her team needed a coach for the 2017-18 volleyball season. I continued to coach for Dawson Park and Recreation for about 6 years. I became a Feeder Volleyball coach in 2022 and have enjoyed every season since then.
I have a wonderful family! My husband and I have three adult children. We have two Boxer pups, Oakley and Atlas; they have been a wonderful addition to our family. They are now “the kids.” You can catch me playing with “the kids” in the yard and hanging out with my family when I am not in the gym
